The studio showcases the personal work of the artists employed. After presenting a superb comic strip published by two of its members at Éditions Lombard, we would like to introduce you to an equally promising project in development, produced by the Mad Cat ASBL collective, created in 2013 by 7 animation enthusiasts who are regularly at work at Waooh!

Leopold, King of the Belgians is a 35-minute short film telling the authentic story of a melancholic and endearing character: our first king. Idealist, honest and generous, this German prince seems to have come straight out of a Shakespearean work, and the film proposes to discover the latter struggling with his historical destiny.

The treatment proposed by director Cédric VANDRESSE is particularly original since it rigorously approaches the historical facts while presenting them in an impertinent and humorous form: caricature!

The film will be made in 2015 and will be the subject of a crowdfunding campaign launched during the month of December. Lovers of Belgian history and caricature, get ready!
